In 2006, the Union County Fiscal Court acquired approximately 11 acres of land located along the Ohio River through the Federal Lands to Parks Program of the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, for the public's recreational use and entertainment. Caseyville Boat Dock and Recreation Area has a beautiful park setting with a 30x50 shelter for picnics and events that can be utilized on a first come, first served basis. The boat ramp is a double lane launching ramp with a courtesy dock and ample parking. Primitive camping is allowed free of charge and no permit is required. This area is well maintained by the local community and during the summer months is a popular destination for boating and outdoor recreation. This beautiful serene location is perfect for any family to enjoy.
