Legal Recording Fees
One of the most important responsibilities of the County Clerk’s Office is the recording of land records. Recorded instruments date back to 1811. The most common documents recorded are deeds, mortgages, assignments, and mortgage releases. All land records are available for public viewing in our office located at 100 West Main Street in Morganfield.
Some changes are occurring in the Union County Clerk’s Office, one being we will be offering E-Filing in which you may have your records recorded electronically. This service will allow you to send documents to the clerk’s office without having to send them via mail, FedEx, UPS, or hand-delivery. To learn more about this service, please contact our office at (270) 389-1334.
In addition, a new fee schedule has been implemented as of January 1, 2020.
