Caseyville Boat Dock and Recreation Area

In 2006, the Union County Fiscal Court acquired approximately 11 acres of land located along the Ohio River through the Federal Lands to Parks Program of the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, for the public's recreational use and entertainment. Caseyville Recreation Area provides a beautiful serene location for outdoor activities perfect for any family to enjoy. The boat ramp and dock provide easy access to the Ohio River. Primitive camping is allowed free of charge and no permit is required.

Lake Mauzy

Lake Mauzy Spur, Morganfield, Kentucky 42437

Lake Mauzy, an approximately 80-acre lake located southeast of Morganfield, is part of the Higginson-Henry Wildlife Management Area and maintained by the Kentucky Department of Wildlife Management. This quiet, serene area is surrounded by wooded areas interspersed with gravel roads, hiking and horse trails. The fishing at Lake Mauzy is superb with numerous bass, crappie and channel catfish. The boat dock makes for easy access to the water for kayaks, canoes and boats with motors under 10 hp. Lakeside camping in self-contained campers or primitive tent is allowed but electricity, water, restrooms, and shower facilities are not provided. Camping is free and no permit is required.

Moffit Lake Recreational Area

Moffit Lake Recreational Area is a 140-acre county owned and operated campground which lies in a beautiful natural setting. In the heart of the campground is a 64-acre lake that provides 48 campsites suitable for both RVs and tent camping. All campsites are equipped with 20-, 30- and 50-amp hook ups and water. Two waste dump stations and three bathhouses are located on the campground for your convenience. For the more rugged outdoor enthusiast, we offer unlimited primitive tent camping areas. If you prefer to enjoy nature from the comfort of a cabin, we offer several different types of cabin settings to suit your needs.

Moffit Lake is stocked with a selection of catfish, bass, redear, bluegill and crappie to satisfy any angler. Boats of any size with an electric motor are welcome and can access the water from our handicap accessible boat ramp and dock. Other amenities include picnic shelters, playgrounds, trails, and kayak rentals.
