Kentucky has had the highest child abuse rate in the country for three years in a row. The last report released in 2021 (for the year 2019) showed Kentucky had more than 20,000 child abuse cases, meaning 20 out of every 1,000 children in Kentucky experienced some type of abuse.

KENTUCKY LAW REQUIRES YOU TO REPORT SUSPECTED CHILD ABUSE

In Kentucky, everyone is mandated to report suspected child abuse and neglect. You can report suspected abuse by phone, email or internet:
