Welcome to the Union County Attorney Office

My name is Julie Wallace and I am honored to serve the citizens of Union County as your County Attorney. I have had the privilege to serve Union County as Assistant County Attorney for 20 years and as County Attorney since 2019.  I am dedicated and committed to protecting your families, your community, and your future in Union County. 

The County Attorney has many responsibilities, including:

• Prosecute misdemeanor crimes (crimes punishable by one year in jail or less and/or a fine up to $500) and violations (crimes punishable by fines but no jail time) that occur in Union County;
• Prosecutorial jurisdiction over juvenile issues including criminal actions which are prosecuted in District Court and dependency, neglect and abuse actions which are prosecuted in Family Court;
• Represents the Commonwealth of Kentucky in disability actions in District Court;
• Operates a child support division that establishes paternity, medical support, and child support, and collects child support;
• Serves as legal advisor to the Union County Fiscal Court.

I have an amazing team in place who shares the same drive, desire to serve, and love of Union County. I am proud of the services my staff and I are able to provide the citizens of Union County. Together, we work hard to meet your needs.
