A free Kentucky Hunter Education Range Day course is scheduled for Sunday, July 31st from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Moffit Lake Recreational Area. This event is for those who have completed the classroom portion by internet. Preregistration is required at fw.ky.gov.
The course, sponsored by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources and God's Backwoods Disciples Ministry, includes live fire and a hands-on field course. Students will be examined on how to properly carry and use a firearm while in the field and be required to successfully participate in a live fire exercise. A course completion card will be issued to successful students which is valid in any state, province or territory in North America. Persons born on or after January 1, 1975 must carry a valid hunter education course completion card while hunting.
